Public Service Announcement regarding the 2020 Mainstreet Memories Car Show – April 2nd, 2020
As a unified board of directors we have made the very difficult decision to cancel the Mainstreet Memories Car Show in Port Huron planned for Saturday, July 25th, 2020, in light of the COVID-19 crisis.
On April 1st, our Governor Gretchen Whitmer extended Michigan’s state of emergency and formally declared a state of disaster in effect until June 9th. Due to this, and out of respect for our sponsors, patrons and board members alike, we believe our decision to be the socially responsible action to take.
Our target was set on 800 cars for this summer’s 5th annual show, and nothing has been more rewarding than to see the community and local businesses come together in support of our event. We are actively considering alternative options, even the potential for a local fall event of some kind (stay tuned). In the meantime, please continue to do what you can to support the Council on Aging for St Clair County and the local businesses who are so greatly impacted during this time.
We will hold a special place for our loyal pre-registered guests at the front of the line for 2021 and appreciate your help to make our 5th Annual Mainstreet Memories Car Show on July 31, 2021 the best one yet!
