Everyone,
On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Mainstreet Memories Car Show, I am writing to formally announce that we have made the challenging decision not to proceed with the MSMCS event in 2026. This decision was influenced by several underlying factors that are beyond our control, and coming to this conclusion was difficult.

Regardless of your role in supporting this event, we have always believed that family and health should be our top priorities. I have been with the show since its inception in 2015, and many of our board members have been involved for 8 to 9 years. When members face personal challenges, limiting their ability to contribute, it burdens an already demanding undertaking. This has become our reality, prompting us to reflect honestly on whether we can maintain the same quality of show that we have provided in the past.

As President, I want to thank all current and past Board Members for your efforts in organizing this event over the last ten years. From October until the Show in July, you have dedicated many hours to planning and managing an event of this scale. I recognize your sacrifice and sincerely appreciate your generosity over the years.

On behalf of the MSMCS Board, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to our many sponsors, several of whom have supported us since our inception. Without their generous contributions, we would not be able to host this event, as their donations not only cover the associated costs but also go towards our donation to the CoA.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all the volunteers, both past and present. Your support has been essential in ensuring that our event runs smoothly. From directing traffic and parking cars to assisting with registrations and helping sponsors and vendors get set up, your efforts have made a tremendous difference. Thank you once again for your invaluable contribution to our event.

To all the participants over the years (we have a database of 2,000 cars), we want to express our heartfelt gratitude. You are the reason the show has been a success, as your presence and the vehicles you showcased brought everyone together for the community. In 2022, thanks to your support, we became the largest show in the Thumb region, with 875 cars attending the “Wheels on the Waterfront” car show. Your contributions have enabled us to donate $210,000 to the Council on Aging and, more recently, to other local charities. Thank you for being a vital part of our community!

Although our show is done, two groups—Shiny Rust Productions and the Port Huron Lions Club—are working with the Port Huron DDA to organize a downtown event on Saturday, July 18, 2026. The event will run from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. More details will be provided as planning develops, so please mark your calendar and stay tuned for updates.

Thank you all for contributing to the thriving car culture in the Blue Water Area, and thanks for the Memories... We look forward to seeing each of you at many upcoming events in our area.
With appreciation,
Ronald Steward, President
Mainstreet Memories Car Show Inc.
